Meet Mrs. Lisa

Pre-K Teacher · 10 Years at WCP

"I have spent a decade watching four-year-olds walk in shy and walk out ready for kindergarten. It never gets old."

Mrs. Lisa leads both the AM and PM Pre-K sessions. Her own children are WCP alumni. She brings patience, structure, and genuine warmth to every morning and afternoon.

Pre-K at WCP focuses on kindergarten readiness through hands-on play, literacy, math, and social skills - all built on Ohio's Early Learning Standards.

Meet Mrs. Erin

Twos and Threes Teacher · 3 Years at WCP

"The Twos and Threes years are when kids figure out they love school. I get to be the person who makes that happen."

Mrs. Erin leads every Twos and Threes session. She knows every child by name before the second week of school.

Her classes are gentle, play-forward, and built around sensory exploration, early social skills, and the kind of slow-paced routine that helps young children feel safe.

Our Spaces

Where your child will learn and play

WCP has two dedicated classrooms, a full gymnasium, and an outdoor playground. Every space is set up for hands-on exploration, movement, and fun.

Twos and Threes Classroom

Bright, warm, and built for little hands.

Low tables, soft seating, sensory bins, a cozy reading nook, and art stations. Everything in this room is sized for two and three-year-olds and designed to invite exploration.

This is where your child will have circle time on the rug, work on crafts at the tables, and play alongside friends and parent helpers every session.

Class size: 7 children (Twos) or 12 children (Threes) with 1 teacher and 2 parent helpers.

Colorful preschool classroom with toys, books, and decorations, including a star-shaped mobile, a teepee, a climbing rug, and seating area.
Pre-K Classroom

Kindergarten readiness starts here.

Learning centers for reading, math, science, and art. A calendar wall. A Handwriting Without Tears station. This room is set up for structured learning through play.

Mrs. Lisa runs the same curriculum in both AM and PM sessions. By May, Pre-K graduates walk into kindergarten ready and confident.

Class size: 12 children per session with 1 teacher and 1 parent helper.

Movement and Outdoor Play

The gym and playground

Every session includes time for big-body movement. On nice days, kids head to the playground. On cold or rainy days, the gym has plenty of space for running, jumping, and games.

A Typical Morning

What school actually looks like

From drop-off to pickup — a real WCP session in photos. Every morning has free play, circle time, a group activity, snack, and outdoor time.

🌞

Arrival and free play

Kids arrive and settle in at their own pace. Parent helpers are already in the classroom welcoming everyone as they come through the door.

🎨

Activities and centers

Crafts, science, sensory play, and group projects. The teacher leads, parent helpers work at every table. Every activity is built around Ohio's Early Learning Standards.

🌳

Outdoor play and pickup
