Why WCP?

My oldest son attends the pre-K program and we love it here! Mrs Lisa is so patient and kind, and just an all around genuine person. The co-op aspect is also a huge positive for us; I love getting to help out in the classroom and be involved in the decisions that the school makes! My youngest son has also started in the 2s class. It's a great program to get him out for a few hours a week and around other kids. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a preschool!

WCP is absolutely amazing! The teachers are top tier! They are genuinely invested in each child and ensure they receive a social/emotional education along with academics. The parent community is invaluable as well, truly fantastic people all the way around! The Co-Op perspective is fantastic! You get to be involved in your child's day and meet their friends but still have time away to create independence within your child. My only regret is not discovering this place sooner! My son will be moving onto kindergarten next year and I have complete confidence that he is prepared because of his time at WCP!

When I moved here from New Jersey with my pandemic baby I was really worried about him being socialized since he had spent so much time home alone with me. I began looking for a 2’s program to help me bridge the gap. I’m happy to say WCP has done a fantastic job with helping my boy and myself learn to be independent, social and respectful of his peers. He’s learned so much from counting to 20 to his ABC’s and just general enrichment that I’m excited to enroll him in the 3’s program next year

It is amazing to watch your child socialize, learn, and emotionally mature in a safe environment. This type of involvement in your child’s learning is only possible at a cooperative school.

I loved the sense of community we felt at WCP. We gained lifelong friends during our time there. It was wonderful to take such a hands-on role in my children’s first educational experience.

There’s nothing like watching your child succeed while taking on exciting new challenges, and WCP makes that possible! Being part of their journey gives you a front-row seat to their growth while building your village and connecting with the community. We love WCP for so many reasons, but this is at the top of the list. The teachers are truly invested in the kids, and it shows! WCP is one of a kind, and we feel so lucky to have been part of it!

Moving to a new area, not knowing anyone was overwhelming. Finding WCP gave us an instant community. Having the opportunity to be a part of our children’s education is a gift I will always cherish. We are thankful for the memories we made at WCP and for the friendships we have kept.

I am so glad that a friend of mine recommended WCP. It has been a real blessing to our family. I really appreciate the care that ALL the staff and board members have for the kids. It is a place where EVERYONE is on the educational team. My son has grown and benefited from the time, attention and care that has been shown to him. It has been fun and encouraging to be part of the educational process, as well. It is a great balance of learning and play. I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is looking for a preschool.

I toured a lot of pre-K’s for my daughter before picking WCP. Many places did not have a lot of opportunities for parents to be involved. Some places did not let parents even in the building. When I heard that WCP was parent-run, I knew it was the school for us. I love being a part of my daughter’s first experiences of school. I love that I know who all her classmates are and that I have formed relationships with their parents. This school is a true community. The teachers are wonderful. The families are wonderful. The tuition is incredibly affordable. It’s such a unique and special place. We couldn’t have asked for a better school.

Our son, Alexander, just graduated from the 2’s class and is excited to move into the 3’s. It’s been amazing to see him thrive - making friends, growing in confidence, and forming a great bond with his teacher, Mrs. Erin. He looks forward to preschool every week!

Beyond Alexander’s experience, I’ve loved being part of the co-op community - helping in the classroom, contributing to the school, and connecting with other parents. It’s been incredibly rewarding.

Without a doubt, we’ll be sending our youngest here, too! WCP is a truly special place for both children and families.

This has been our first year at WCP and it has been the most amazing experience thus far. My son is in the 3's class, and he loves going to school to see his teacher and his friends. I could not recommend this school more. The teachers and parents are a blessing to have.

We have had the best pre-k experience at WCP! This school cares immensely about its students! My son loves going to school because he has a great time learning through play. The teachers go above and beyond to make their lessons exciting and fun for their students. We couldn’t recommend WCP more!

My son is enrolled here currently and we signed my daughter up to join him next year! A wonderful school where the teachers care for each student as an individual and the parents get to have direct impact.

I love that I get to be involved in the classroom and watch my son blossom! Malcolm loves it here, and since it’s a smaller school and the parents are involved, I enjoy having relationships with the other parents as well!
